The Martha Principle
Soft Cover Book
The Martha Principle was written for women who feel overwhelmed - who are doing the best they can, but still feel stress. We talk about the story of Mary and Martha in the New Testament to show how this works. Martha was not wrong to be busy doing things. Jesus did not chastise her for working hard. What He told her, though, was to understand her emotions. That’s a powerful idea, and so very important for women today.
CPR For Emotions
Closeout CD - special offerDon and Janet recorded this CD in 2008. They speak openly of Don’s military deployment to Iraq, and how that affected their family. During the time Don was gone, they relied on the principles of emotional health to help them get through many challenging situations. In the middle of a military maneuver, emotional well-being can make all the difference. Falling apart is not an option! It was during this time that Don’s “CPR for Emotions” analogy was developed. Sometimes we have emotions that are overwhelming, or have to make emotional choices instantly. Immediate emotional first aid is required. Don and Janet teach how to use “Emotional CPR” so that we can find peace in any circumstance.
Note: This CD is heavily discounted, because it is a close-out sale.

The Martha Principle is one of the most helpful books that I've ever read. The simple yet powerful principles taught in this book ccan be easily understood and applied to all situations. Following these principles has helped me reach a level of peace that I never knew was possible. Janet Summit walks her talk. I watched her live the principles that she teaches here beautifully when her husband was called to Iraq. She was able to gracefully and joyfully take care of her ten children. As if that wasn't miracle enough, her family was noticeably thriving the entire time. I have seen Janet live these principles through many seemingly difficult situations and she is an inspiration to all who know her. This book is groundbreaking and life changing for anyone willing to learn and apply the ideas that are presented.
