There are many ways to communicate, but quite frankly, many of them do not work (at least, if you want positive communication).
In order to ensure communication works effectively, we must learn how to use words in a way that will invite connection, not dis-connection. We must be able to be fluent in understanding feelings, determining needs, and observing clearly to connect with others. We must learn about the two kinds of judgment, and know how to distinguish between the two. (One is absolutely necessary, and the other should be avoided.) Even when people disagree, there still can be unity. This course relies heavily on principles from Marshall Rosenberg's "Nonviolent Communication" work, and will help you dramatically improve the quality of your relationships.
