A Family Motto
What’s that, anyway?
The dictionary definition of motto:
A short sentence or phrase that expresses a rule guiding behavior
Having a family motto can be a powerful reminder to our children of who we intend to be. If our children grow up repeating the family motto once a week in a family meeting, or reciting it periodically just before dinnertime, they will be reminded of the kind of people we choose to be - because we are part of our family.
Here are some examples.
We stand for truth and righteousness.
Remember who you are and what you stand for.
Be true at all times.
Just do it. Just do it.
Do your best. Do your best. Do your best.
Think of what your family could be today!
